Cozy Up This Winter with the Cleansing Balm

beautycounter cleansing balm

Goodbye summer, hello fall, and before we know it, snow will cover the ground in much of the country.

I am not a huge fan of cold weather (there’s a reason I moved to California), but what I really don’t love is how it drys out my skin. So to keep your face from looking like fish scales, I encourage you to try Beautycounter’s best-selling Cleansing Balm.

This balm (also known as cleansing bomb), does more than just keep my face hydrated. I haven’t found anything close to what it does do for my skin. The balm is actually a 6-in-1 if there is such a thing. Here’s the list of its multiple capabilities:

Overnight Treatment

Sometimes after a long day chasing the twins around, my face just feels tired. Know that feeling? So to give it a boost, I apply a thin layer of the balm all over my face and sleep in it. Yes, I sleep in the balm! It helps with the natural skin repair process, and when I wake up, my skin feels supple. Best part? You don’t even have to rinse it off.

Quick Mask

Since I don’t sleep with the balm on every night (only when I really, really need it), I like to use it as a quick 10 minute mask in the morning or at night, before I apply my night cream.

The balm is made with oils—like raspberry seed, jojoba and sweet almond—easily absorbed by the skin, which gives it an extra boost of radiance from the inside.

I’m not too much into the contouring trend, but this balm does work well as a highlighter for if you want more of a natural-looking glow. All I do is apply a small amount to the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose—that’s it!

Winter skin, we all know it makes us feel dry! Fortunately, the balm is made with natural butters and oils that keep my skin hydrated even after a whole day of hitting the slopes. And my face is not the only area I use it on, it’s also great for other dry places like my elbows, knees, knuckles and even my cuticles.

Lip Mask

Sometimes chapstick just doesn’t cover it. So if you have 10 minutes during the day (you can even do it while you skim through that new book you’ve been dying to read), slather on a thin layer of the balm on your lips, then wait about 10 minutes before you wash it off. Your lips will feel so much better. It’s not an every day routine, but once or twice a week should be plenty to get back that moisture the harsh winds sucked out.

There’s a reason it’s called a cleansing balm! It gives my skin that extra-clean feeling when I need it most.

Life changing! I am obsessed with the Cleansing Balm! It’s gentle enough to put on my eyes to remove my eye make-up, which I love. A little goes a long way with this cleanser, which makes the price totally reasonable. Never leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. Without a doubt my favorite cleanser I have ever used!

Amazing miracle balm. Use as a cleanser, a mask, a spot treatment. It’s fabulous.
